Is content creator a good career? Or just something you can do for fun?

Some major sites, such as "YouTube", "Meta", "TikTok", and others, are competing with each other in order to attract the largest number of content creators who, in their turn, attract more followers to the site.

By definition, a content creator is a person who produces content in writings, images, and videos. These contents deal with specific topics and carry some benefits for the followers. But in fact, this is not always the case.

Lebanese today are divided between smart and useful content makers and makers of fun and entertainment content. Despite this fact, these latter receive a large percentage of views, which provide a considerable financial return in fresh USD. The amount of course, varies from one person to another.

Thus, becoming a content creator can be challenging at first, but it is a fun career path especially if you're a creative person and you have the right skills. A content maker can create content about pretty much everything with any desired media – whether it's photography, videography, or blogs.

The easiest social media platform to make money

"YouTube" has always been the most popular platform through which money can be gained. On another hand, "TikTok" has recently entered the line offering easier terms for the content creators.

Creators on "YouTube” can earn their money through a number of different ways such as sponsorships or by selling merchandise. But Google ads remain the biggest chunk of revenue for many YouTuber stars. We can mention “Nate O'Brien”, a personal finance YouTuber with 1.1 million subscribers, earns about $444,000 in ad revenue in a year.

Moreover, content creators can join the “YouTube Partner Program” after accumulating 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time. This gives creators access to monetization features such as advertising, fan funding, and merchandise sales. Top YouTuber stars make close to $20 million a year.

Furthermore, "TikTok" was ranked first among the most visited international platforms during 2021; and experts expect "TikTok" to be on the top of the communication sites in the next few years.

This Chinese application does not place many restrictions on the account holder and is characterized by its easiness of use. Just create your "TikTok" videos and you can earn money automatically according to your views. They pay you real money, not rewards or coins or any other virtual currency. You get your cash money deposited into your PayPal account. So that means a 1,000,000-viewed video would earn you between $20 and $40.

Although "TikTok" has achieved this fast popularity, YouTube still attracts the largest number of content makers even though it requires more and more difficult content in terms of duration, effort, photography, and production.

Trusted sites?

Recently, many sites had appeared that deluded their followers by promising them to earn money by following them or by implementing their simple conditions. But of course, this matter eventually reached a dead end, and none got any "penny".

How can you distinguish between a reliable site and a fraudulent one?

The main platforms, such as "YouTube" and "TikTok" and others, are platforms that have gained confidence. On the other hand, there are other sites in which question marks revolve around them. But still, it is easy for some to fall victims to these illegible platforms; not only because they were promised to get paid, but also for the inappropriate content they provide.

In order to discover the credibility of the platform you intend to work on or browse, you can check the domain name liability by putting its link on a site called “scam-detector”, which will show you the degree of trust in the site in use. Also, keep in mind that you need to be aware of platforms that defraud people, and not to resort to easy methods related to trading because they involve risks.

Finally, it must be noted that a number of Lebanese people were able to find job opportunities in the largest content-making companies in the world after displaying their creative videos with specific content on their pages.
